¡Welcome To This Blog!

Who am I and Why this Blog? Welcome to my first official entry! My name is Santiago a student of Data Network Management, and this blog is a collection of everything I have learned during my training. In the last few months, I have created videos, audios, and many texts to improve my English. Why English? Because in the world of technology and systems, English is the universal language. I started with basic greetings, and now I can describe how to set up a device or have basic conversations with someone else. This journey is not always easy, but it is very exciting. In this space, you will see my progress in language, my technical skills, and my personal interests.
My Life Beyond Technology Life is not only about cables and computers! To be a good professional, it's important to have a balance. I really enjoy staying active. Recently, I have been doing physical tests to check my resistance and strength. For example, I track how many burpees I can do and my time in the Cooper test. It is interesting to see how physics(like kinetic energy)works in our own bodies. Also, I am very interested in entrepreneurship. I have been working on a business project called D'Essenza. It is about natural cosmetics and skincare with a minimalist style. Learning how to calculate profit margins and create a brand identity has taught me that being organized is the key to success, both in a business and in a server room.
Thinking Twice (Critical Thinking & Media Literacy) In our modern world, we use the internet every day. However, we need to be careful with the information we consume. This is called Media Literacy. Sometimes, we see "Fake News" on social media that looks real. Critical thinking is like a "filter" for our brain. When I read a news story, I always ask: Who wrote this? Is there evidence? Is the title trying to make me angry? In my technical training, if I put a wrong command in a router, the network fails. The same happens with information; if we believe lies, our society has problems. We must learn to audit the content we see and not just click "share" without thinking.
Justice in the Digital Age (Crime & Punishment) Crime is a difficult topic, but it is important to discuss it. Usually, when someone commits a crime, they receive a punishment, like going to prison. But is prison always the best solution? Some people believe in rehabilitation, which means helping the person to change and learn a new job so they don't commit crimes again. Also, as a systems technician, I worry about cyber-crime. Stealing a password can be as dangerous as stealing a car. I believe that laws need to be stronger for digital crimes. In the end, the goal of punishment should be to make our community safer and more "connected" in a positive way.
My Future Goals and Travel Dreams Finally, I want to talk about the future. The world is changing fast with AI and new technologies. To be ready, I want to reach a B1+ level of English this year. My plan is to continue studying network security and perhaps work for a global company. I also dream about traveling. I want to visit places where I can practice my English and see different cultures. This process of learning through videos and audios has given me more confidence. I am not just a student anymore; I am a professional in training who is ready for the world!
